syn. Melothria scabra)

Sow: April & May

Harvest: July - September

Where to sow:
Sow seed on edge to prevent rotting 1.5cm deep in individual 9cm pots, cover pots with glass lids at a constant day & night temperature of 21 degrees centigrade.

What to do next
When the plants grow to approximately 10cm, plant them outdoors in a sheltered spot once hardened off & all risk of frost has past.
Grow up against netting or allow to create a trial along the ground. Can be placed in large pots of hessian/jute grow bags. Provide a support frame & gently attach the stems.

Growing tip:
Pick cucamelons often to ensure a continuous crop.
The plant can be stored in a cool, frost free area during autumn & re planted outdoors the following year.
